Walk through your machine before it is installed
Alsis Omni is a virtual reality platform with natural walking. We build the digital twin of your machine from its technical documentation, and your operators practise operating it by walking inside it: without risk, without stopping production and before it is assembled.

- What it is
- Virtual reality platform with natural walking
- What for
- Training in operation, maintenance and procedures; rehabilitating movement and attention
- Technology
- Virtual reality, digital twin and session recording
- Development
- With the University of Salamanca
Training on the real machine is expensive, slow and comes too late
The learning curve is long
Every new operator needs time and support on the real equipment.
Practising costs production
Training on the machine exposes staff and stops it while they learn.
You can’t start earlier
Until the machine is assembled and available, there is nowhere to train the team.
We build the twin with the documentation you already have
The machine isn’t needed: what already describes how it is and how it works is enough.
We start from
- BIM models
- CAD, for example SolidWorks
- Drawings and diagrams
- Point clouds from a scan
- Operating manuals
- Functional specifications

The twin reproduces what the training goal needs: the parts you interact with, the route around it and the animated cycle. We start from a functional finish and increase realism where needed, without rebuilding the base.
Mesh optimised for VR
Geometry faithful to the machine, prepared to move smoothly in the headset.
Scene and route
The 3D environment set up on the platform, with natural walking.
Process logic
The machine has states, its cycle is animated and parts can be handled.
Assessment and recording
Score, sequence and export of each session’s result.
The operator walks inside the machine, rather than teleporting
Unlike the teleporting or joystick of conventional virtual reality, on Alsis Omni you move by walking without leaving the spot.
- You move by teleporting or with a joystick
- The body doesn’t take part
- It is hard to get a sense of the space
- Less immersion, less is retained
- You walk naturally
- You recognise distances, heights and accesses as on the real machine
- You remember where each element is and how to get there
- You repeat as many times as needed, without risk
Go all the way round the machine and recognise its real areas, accesses and distances.
Press, open and handle the parts as you would on the machine.
Carry out the real work sequence and the machine responds to what you do.
Scored mode: hits, errors and whether the correct sequence was followed.
Every session is recorded, scored and can be analysed
You don’t just train: you know how each operator trains. You can repeat scenarios, introduce faults and see how they respond.
- Sequence
- Actions, hits and errors
- Times
- Action and reaction times
- Path
- Route and points visited
- Procedure
- Whether it was followed step by step
It lets you train with data, assess before granting access to the real machine and keep a training record for internal audits.
What we have already built and tested

Maintenance in virtual reality
The operator opens panels and reaches the internal components. They dismantle, replace a part and close up again following the sequence, with real tools and parts.

Physical process and inspection
Set up the process on the machine’s own controls and see the result on the part: defects are detected, it is not just an animation.
Training grows with your plant
The twin of the first machine is the base. Whatever you need is added on top, without starting from scratch.
New procedures
Add processes or modes as the machine evolves.
Guided mode
A step-by-step walkthrough for the first contact, before the assessed mode.
Risk prevention
Emergencies, confined spaces, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
Central platform
History and audit of all sessions in one place.
The same platform, for rehabilitating movement and attention
What in a factory is used to practise operating a machine, in a rehabilitation centre is used to train gait, balance or memory. The person walks on the platform wearing a harness that prevents falls; the software reproduces their movements in a digital twin and records every session for the professional.
- Orientation (maze)
- Postural control and throwing (basketball)
- Memory (pairs in chests)
- Coordination and precision (bow and balloons)
- Risk prevention (walk through an industrial facility)
Patients, activities, sessions and metrics on a web dashboard; assessment after each session; an assistant that suggests the starting activity based on condition, mobility and cognitive status.
Developed with the University of Salamanca (ICE · ERDF, file 04/23/PA/0004) and in validation with healthcare professionals and users through the SIVI Cluster.
What people ask us about Alsis Omni
If your question isn’t here, ask us when you request the demo.
Does the machine need to be installed?
No. The twin is built from the technical documentation, so training can start before the machine reaches the plant.
What documentation do you need?
Whatever you have: BIM or CAD models, drawings and diagrams, a point-cloud scan, the operating manual and the functional specifications. With it we set the level of detail.
Can procedures be added later?
Yes. Processes, a guided mode or risk prevention scenarios are added on top of the first twin.
What is recorded from each session?
The sequence of actions with their hits and errors, action times, the route taken and whether the procedure was followed.
Does it work outside industry?
Yes. In rehabilitation centres, clinics and day centres the same platform is used for physical and cognitive rehabilitation, with five activities and a portal for the professional. We explain it in the Health sector.
The platform’s modules
Omni Move
Gait, balance, coordination, strength and range of motion.
Omni Cognitive
Attention, memory, executive functions and inhibitory control.
Omni Kids
Activity and learning goals.
Omni Pro
Professional dashboard, comparison between sessions, PDF and CSV reports.
